Abstract

Weather forecasting is the prediction of atmospheric conditions such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, and other weather phenomena for a specific future period. The purpose of weather forecasting is to provide information about upcoming weather conditions so that individuals, businesses, and organizations can make informed decisions regarding weather-related activities. One of the sectors that require weather forecasts is Agriculture, Forestry, and the Environment. To generate accurate weather forecast information, a series of systematic processes must be conducted to ensure that the data is communicated clearly and comprehensively to relevant stakeholders. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the types of digital and manual instruments utilized in supporting weather forecast data services at the BMKG Region I Deo station in Sorong City. A range of both digital and manual meteorological instruments are employed at BMKG Region I Deo to facilitate the collection of weather data, including: a Meteorological Shelter, Digital Barometer, Solar Cell, Campbell Stokes Sunshine Recorder, Anemometer, Cup Counter, Evaporation Pan (Evaporimeter), Rain Gauge, and Actinograph. has been input will be processed in the Synop application and shared using the CMSS (Computer Message Switching System).
